Job summary

Future Currents is seeking a Senior Strategist to lead strategic foresight work, conduct research, design scenario exercises, and manage projects and people across the progressive movement. The role emphasizes building relationships with key stakeholders and delivering convenings to advance our mission.

The Senior Strategist will report to the Director of Strategic Foresight and may manage staff, fellows, and consultants, with remote work and regular travel requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive leadership experience and an established track record of effective project and people management.
• Experience coordinating across diverse groups and managing multiple priorities.
• Background in learning cohort design, facilitation, organizing, and coalition building.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out project work including landscape research, objectives, timelines, and indicators.
• Design and facilitate scenario-planning exercises, cohorts, and relationship-building convenings.
• Wrap projects up and hand off for implementation, pulling forward lessons for future work.
