Job summary

Mesa Power Solutions in Loveland, CO, seeks a Senior Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing across mechanical, electrical, fuel-system, engine and related components for gas engine power generation.

You will own category strategies, drive cost-to-own improvements, mentor managers, and partner with engineering, operations, finance and legal to enable NPI and capital projects. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Graduate Degree or relevant advanced degree (e.g., MS in Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management).

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-year category strategies across mechanical, electrical, engine, fuel system and related components with a total cost of ownership focus.
• Lead enterprise-wide strategic sourcing initiatives, including spend analysis, category assessments, sourcing roadmaps, and supplier selection.
• Own full category management lifecycle: market intelligence, demand planning, RFx, negotiations, contracting and implementation.
• Establish category governance, metrics, and executive reporting to drive accountability.
• Manage executive-level supplier relationships and performance improvement initiatives.
• Drive supplier consolidation, technology advancement, and capacity expansion while ensuring supply continuity and quality.
• Lead complex negotiations, master supply agreements, and long-term contracts with strategic suppliers.
• Develop supplier risk management and resilience strategies, including dual sourcing and contingency planning.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, logistics, finance and legal for NPI and capital projects.
• Mentor category managers, promote best practices, and ensure compliance with policies.
