Devon Energy is seeking a Senior Staff Category Management Professional to lead complex category management, demand planning, and supplier performance initiatives. The role collaborates with Procurement Admin and Ops Procurement to drive contract compliance and strategic sourcing decisions.

The successful candidate will develop partnerships with key suppliers, oversee cross‑functional planning, monitor market trends, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts while mentoring others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related discipline is required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, category management, sourcing or related field.
• CSCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with procurement and operations to develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy and ensure contract compliance.
• Identifies problems, coordinates across functions, and demonstrates expertise in category management.
• Develops partnerships with suppliers, drives innovation, and maintains competitive advantage.
• Leads demand planning initiatives with business units and aligns with organizational objectives.
• Monitors market dynamics, supplier performance, and drives continuous improvement.
• Acts as a liaison supporting corporate budget processes and cash management.
• Mentors team members and leads change initiatives with data-driven decision making.
• Remediates data quality issues and contributes to strategic goals.
