Job summary

Vizient is seeking a strategic sourcing professional to drive category expertise across complex initiatives. You will partner with clinicians, value analysis teams, and suppliers to optimize spend and improve service quality. The role emphasizes leveraging analytics and AI tools to deliver high-impact procurement outcomes.

You will develop category strategies, manage supplier negotiations, and support contract implementations while traveling as needed. The hybrid work model includes several U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or related field.
• Experience supporting sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, or category management across clinical, medical-surgical, and physician preference item categories.
• Strong analytical skills with spend, utilization, supplier, and market data.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for assigned product and service categories.
• Lead sourcing initiatives from opportunity identification through implementation.
• Conduct spend analyses and market intelligence to inform strategy.
• Support stakeholder engagement and committee activities with meetings and documentation.
• Coordinate RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiation activities.
• Monitor performance data to identify savings and optimization opportunities.
