Job summary

Harnham seeks a Senior Strategic Finance Analyst to partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and growth initiatives. You will analyze CAC, LTV, retention, and channel profitability, building financial models to assess investments and operational improvements.

You will support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning while translating data into actionable recommendations for pricing, margins, and profitability. This role is hybrid and Chicago-based.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Financial Analysis.
• Experience supporting a direct-to-consumer, eCommerce, consumer products, retail, subscription, or marketplace business strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of growth metrics, customer economics, and revenue drivers.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience analyzing business performance and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytical tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance and executive leadership to support strategic planning and key business initiatives.
• Analyze CAC, LTV, retention metrics, and channel profitability.
• Develop financial models to evaluate growth opportunities, investments, and operational improvements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Identify trends across customer, product, and marketing performance to drive business decisions.
• Evaluate pricing strategies, promotional activity, and margin optimization opportunities.
• Perform scenario analysis and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Build reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into key financial and operational metrics.
• Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Commercial teams to assess performance and improve profitability.
• Support board presentations, executive reporting, and strategic business reviews.
