Job summary

The Foth Companies, a national science and engineering consulting firm, seeks an experienced Lead Stormwater & Water Resources Engineer to provide technical leadership across stormwater, drainage, flood mitigation and water resources projects nationwide.

This senior role offers mentoring, standards development, and advanced modeling using HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Ideal candidate near an office, but remote candidates may be considered based on fit.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
PE license or ability to obtain licensure.
Experience in stormwater, drainage, and water resources engineering.
Experience providing technical leadership and reviews.
Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.
Ability to travel 10–20% for project needs.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for stormwater, drainage, flood risk, and water resources projects.
Oversee reports, modeling, design drawings, specs, and construction documents.
Mentor engineers through coaching and reviews.
Develop discipline standards, QA/QC processes, and modeling workflows.
Lead design of stormwater systems, drainage, watershed studies, and green infrastructure.
Coordinate permitting and agency submissions.
