TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist in Rancho Cordova, CA to lead stormwater compliance projects and serve as a QSD. You’ll manage programs, mentor staff, and provide technical and regulatory guidance across construction, industrial, and municipal sites.

The role requires a strong background in NPDES permitting, SWPPP development, and field oversight, with up to 30% local travel. A California QSD and PE/PG licenses are preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, civil or environmental engineering, geology, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in stormwater compliance, environmental permitting, and related regulatory programs.
• Current QSD certification in California.

Mansioni

• Lead stormwater compliance projects and programs from proposal to closeout.
• Serve as technical lead for stormwater permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare, review, and certify stormwater documents as a QSD (SWPPPs, LCANs).
• Oversee compliance monitoring for stormwater permits, site assessments, inspections, and reporting.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and deliverables.
• Provide strategic guidance to clients on stormwater regulations and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with regulators, clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development activities.
