Job summary

Verdantas is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) to join our California-based team. This mid-level role supports stormwater compliance projects, conducts inspections, develops SWPPPs, and helps prevent pollutants from entering waterways.

The position is remote but requires local residency in Santa Rosa, Sacramento, Fresno, San Ramon, or Marysville, CA. You'll work with experienced engineers and scientists on projects across water resources, civil infrastructure,

Qualifications

• BS or BA in environmental disciplines, sciences, or engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of SWPPP-related experience.
• Current QSP Certification (QSD preferred).
• Experience with SMARTS and knowledge of CA stormwater permits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stormwater inspections and sampling.
• Develop and implement SWPPPs and site stabilization plans.
• Prepare documentation and reporting for compliance projects.
• Travel domestically as required, including weekends.
