Job summary

The City of Fort Wayne is seeking an experienced Program Manager II to lead stormwater programs, capital projects, and environmental resilience initiatives that shape how the city plans, builds, and manages sustainable infrastructure.

In this role you will manage budgets, coordinate with agencies and stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive green infrastructure, water quality efforts, and policy initiatives to strengthen community resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience; green infrastructure experience preferred.
• Municipal or utility experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead watershed planning, stormwater programs, and capital projects end-to-end
• Manage budgets, resources, and long-term strategy
• Oversee floodplain management, permitting, and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with teams, agencies, and stakeholders to deliver projects
• Advance green infrastructure, water quality, and policy initiatives
• Lead and develop team members
• Oversee daily operations and performance
