Job summary

GBA is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer IV (Stormwater) to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex stormwater projects. You will mentor engineers, coordinate across disciplines, and foster strong client relationships to support resilient communities.

The role emphasizes technical leadership in stormwater conveyance, hydrology, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to grow the Water Environment practice and drive business development. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Biological, Agricultural Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant stormwater experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure required.
• Recognized industry certification (QEP or CEP).

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of stormwater infrastructure projects from concept to construction.
• Perform technical design for stormwater conveyance, detention/retention, roadway drainage, and floodplain management.
• Lead budgets, schedules, coordination, QA, and client communications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Prepare and review technical studies, reports, calculations, specs, and documents.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and technical excellence throughout project delivery.
• Support business development with proposals, scopes, and fee estimates.
• Mentor junior engineers and grow the Water Environment practice.
