Job summary
TYLin is seeking a highly experienced Water Engineer/Technical Advisor to support the City of Richmond's Water Resources Office with senior-level guidance on stormwater permitting, site plan review, and regulatory compliance. You will help review complex development projects and implement innovative green infrastructure and LID solutions.
The role demands strong oversight in hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, regulatory interpretation, and quality assurance, mentoring junior staff while coordinating
Qualifications
- PE license required (Virginia preferred).
- 5–10 years of stormwater design experience.
- Extensive experience reviewing complex land development and infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and mentoring skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level technical guidance for stormwater permitting and site plan reviews.
- Review complex development projects and interpret regulatory requirements.
- Implement innovative and sustainable stormwater management solutions with GI/LID concepts.
- Develop technical guidance, design standards, and process improvements for regulatory compliance.
