Job summary

Consor is seeking a stormwater engineer in Draper, UT, to develop hydraulic and hydrology studies, drainage reports, and design plans for municipal stormwater projects. The role includes technical writing, coordination with cross-disciplinary teams, and mentoring staff.

With 4+ years of relevant experience and PE licensure, you will tackle H&H analyses, cost estimates, and construction support while advancing within a collaborative, flexible environment.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of stormwater, H&H, and drainage experience.
  • Proficiency in OpenRoads, Civil3D or AutoCAD (Consor will train engineers w/o OpenRoads experience).
  • HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, StormCAD and similar software experience (a plus).
  • Perform floodplain mapping and analysis for FEMA and local agencies.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Responsibilities

  • Review project design and reports and assist with project management and scheduling for stormwater projects
  • Perform H&H analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience
  • Prepare construction plans and specifications as well as technical memorandums and reports
  • Develop Probable construction cost estimates for projects
  • Observe construction and coordinate with contractors
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines such as roadway, geotechnical, structures, etc.
  • Perform stormwater management and drainage studies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Mentor junior staff and Designers
