Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Supply Chain Stores Operations Manager to lead storeroom operations across facilities within the region. The role focuses on aligning material availability with construction and maintenance needs while ensuring safe, cost-effective operations.

The candidate will drive SOPs, staffing plans, and performance metrics, coordinating with accounting, procurement, engineering, and projects teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent education and experience.
Ten years of business experience in Supply Chain, Distribution, Transmission or Generation positions.
Minimum of three years direct supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Direct the operation of the storerooms within the assigned Operating Company or Region.
Recommend storeroom staffing and enhancements to the materials flow process to management.
Recommend policies and procedures relating to inventory control and material services functions (SOX compliance, cycle inventories, inactive material reviews, MSDS, QC).
Coordinate materials management between storerooms and liaison with Stores Supervisors, Accounting, Procurement, Engineering and Projects.
Develop and implement measures/goals for storeroom operations and monitor results for action.
