Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to drive onboarding, coaching and development for team members across a busy retail environment. You will identify talent, support staffing pipelines and ensure a safe, compliant store that delivers strong customer service and growth opportunities.

You will oversee area operations and the P&L, manage budgets and drive scheduling, merchandising and performance improvements to maximize sales and productivity while fostering an inclusive culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and development, plus coaching.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership talent pipelines.
• Drives candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities.
• Oversees area operations and financial results; manages budget line items in P&L.
• Drives safety and compliance and maintains store conditions and procedures.
• Ensures leaders assign daily work and training needs.
• Role may include additional duties as assigned.
