Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Store Opening Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of new store openings. You will supervise coordinators, optimize layouts, and coordinate with internal and external partners to keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities include coaching and developing store opening staff, improving inventory control and shipping processes, and ensuring timely completion of all tasks in line with the company mission and vision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in management preferred.
• Minimum of two years of retail experience in a management role in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business, or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program and selection process.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all team members.
• Ability to comprehend and accurately complete all documentation.
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
• Ability to complete assignments in the time allotted.

Responsibilities

• Manages, through the Store Opening Coordinators and staff, the ongoing operations and development of the new store program within the scope of the company’s mission and vision.
• Revise store layout based on changing requirements of supplies and corporate initiatives.
• Communicate with internal and external partners to keep projects on schedule.
• Develop and execute plans for all coaching, training and development, evaluating, and supervising of store opening coordinators.
• Evaluate and develop improved techniques for inventory control, shipping and receiving, and efficient use of labor.
• Additional responsibilities to be determined as business needs arise.
