Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is seeking a Traveling Assistant Store Opening Coordinator to support the Store Opening Coordinator with new store launches. You will assist with fixture builds, merchandising, and training of new Associates, ensuring projects meet schedules and safety standards.

This role involves guiding teams, scheduling workloads, traveling to new stores (overnight travel required), and helping implement store layouts and business strategies while maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in management preferred.
• Minimum of one year retail supervisory experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business.
• Experience in retail architecture or space planning preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Ensure meeting of daily timelines for fixture build, truck unload, ticketing, and merchandising through management and training of associates.
• Provide guidance and instruction to Associates on new store project plans and expectations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure safety regulations are met.
• Provide encouragement and motivation to new store set up teams.
• Schedule and monitor workload at new store locations.
• Communicate frequently with Store Opening Coordinator to keep projects on schedule.
• Ensure store layouts are implemented based on plans.
• Assist with executing new store business strategies.
• Complete tasks by assigned deadlines.
• Assist with managing staffing needs for new stores by maintaining hiring standards, recruiting, interviewing and candidate selection.
