Job summary

Western Digital is seeking a senior verification engineer to lead the validation of WD storage drives with enterprise systems. You will own qualification decisions, work with engineering and support teams, and develop automation to scale testing across programs.

You will configure complex drive systems, analyze logs, and drive root cause investigations. Mentoring teammates and proactively improving processes are key expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science is required.
• 3+ years of professional experience in systems integration test development with technical ownership.
• Experience validating complex enterprise computer systems with multi-device configurations.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification of compatibility between WD storage drives and enterprise customer systems.
• Collaborate with development engineering and customer technical support to ensure product design quality.
• Configure complex multi-drive systems for test and analyze logs to assess status and risk.
• Isolate, analyze, and document test failures with depth, conducting root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain test scripts and automation frameworks to improve efficiency and scale across programs.
• Create test schedules, write reports, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and co-ops to elevate team capability.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and tooling and drive improvements proactively.
