Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (Storage) to lead management of large-scale Ceph storage and related infrastructure. The role requires deep Linux proficiency, strong Kubernetes skills, and a track record of mentoring junior engineers in a global, cloud-scale environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Ceph Storage, object and block.
• 5+ years of experience with Linux systems tooling and troubleshooting in networking, configuration and deployment.
• First hand experience with industry standard storage protocols.
• Strong Kubernetes skills.
• Proven ability to mentor Junior Members of the team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing, deploying and maintaining large scale distributed Ceph storage solutions.
• Ensure high availability and performant storage by troubleshooting and debugging, tuning performance and ensuring data integrity.
• Evolve processes and best practices to maximize performance and cost efficiency.
• Stay updated with Ceph/Storage developments and share findings with the team.
• Analyze storage trends and participate in capacity planning.
