Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer III to own storage technology administration, resilience, and automation across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will handle incident management, capacity planning, and AI-assisted observability while aligning with security and audit requirements.

The role requires strong scripting, Linux fundamentals, and experience with storage ecosystems. Shift rotation includes weekends, supporting global service continuity.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support infra workflows with validation.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations for resiliency and security.
• Knowledge of storage fundamentals: RAID, erasure coding, replication, snapshots, tiering, IOPS, latency, SAN/NAS, object storage.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to storage infra projects of moderate scope for monitoring, performance, and resilience.
• Use enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate analysis, monitoring, and capacity documentation.
• Apply AI-assisted practices to identify recurring issues, improve remediation and ensure traceability.
• Operate and enhance block, file, and object storage across on‑prem and cloud, including capacity planning and DR testing.
• Lead incident response for storage outages and root cause analyses.
• Build automation for provisioning, patching, upgrades, replication, backup, and compliance checks.
• Create and maintain runbooks and escalation paths for on-call readiness.
• Collaborate with infra, network, OS, DB, and app teams to meet workload requirements.
• Implement AI-driven observability and AIOps with safe rollout and auditability.
• Own and improve SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, and on-call readiness for storage services.
