This globally distributed, fully remote group builds core storage and query technologies for observability workloads, focusing on storage efficiency, ES|QL query processing, and data layout optimization for object storage.

The role requires designing, implementing, and tuning Elasticsearch’s core storage and query engine with a strong track record in high-performance distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Experience building high-performance, scalable database, search, or distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of storage, indexing, query execution, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Java and concurrent data structures in production systems.
