Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS/Engineering.
• 7+ years in enterprise backup, storage, or data protection.
• Experience with IBM Storage Protect, IBM Storage Defender, Commvault, Rubrik, Dell PPDM.
• Strong storage technology understanding and infrastructure knowledge.
• Experience supporting VMware, Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation; project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup and recovery architectures.
• Engineer scalable, resilient backup solutions across physical, virtual, cloud, SaaS, and containerized environments.
• Develop standards, recovery procedures, runbooks, and engineering docs.
• Lead platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts.
• Establish recovery service levels and testing standards.
• Administer and engineer data protection platforms (IBM, Rubrik, Commvault, Cloud-native).
• Architect capacity plans, performance tuning, security hardening, lifecycle management.
• Automate provisioning, reporting, monitoring, and workflows; build dashboards.
• Onboard new workloads; ensure protection standards and governance.
