Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Senior Storage Architect to lead the architecture, strategy, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage services, including File, Block, Object, and Data Protection platforms. You will align storage solutions with enterprise strategies, security standards, and cloud roadmaps.

The role requires deep technical expertise, architectural leadership, and the ability to influence across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, storage engineering, or storage architecture.
• 5+ years of experience designing and architecting enterprise storage solutions.
• Deep expertise in NAS/SAN/Object Storage and backup architectures.
• Experience developing technology roadmaps and strategic infrastructure plans.
• Experience producing architecture documentation, blueprints, and design standards.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Works across the business, operations and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions.
• Contributes to the architecture roadmap of defined domains in support of the product roadmap.
• Clarifies the architecture and provides solution options to resolve impediments.
• Leads design of complex architectures and ensures flexibility and modularity.
• Educates team members on best practices and technology standards.
• Supports selection of technology stack and products.
• Performs design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements are met.
• Lead architect for enterprise storage services (File/NAS, Block, Object, Data Protection).
• Create and maintain storage blueprints, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
• Define future-state architectures and transition plans for storage and data protection.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor roadmaps for opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define service capabilities and adoption strategies.
• Partner with vendors to influence product direction and roadmaps.
• Provide architecture governance and design reviews.
