Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Storage Architect to lead the architecture, strategy, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage services including File, Block, Object storage and data protection. You will align solutions with enterprise security, resiliency, and cloud adoption roadmaps.

The role requires deep storage expertise, strong leadership, and collaboration with product managers and vendors to shape the technology roadmap and standards across multiple infrastructure domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, storage engineering, or storage architecture.
• 5+ years designing and architecting enterprise storage solutions.
• Deep expertise in enterprise storage and backup platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision and target operating environment.
• Contribute to architecture roadmap across domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology).
• Clarify architecture and provide solution options for impediments.
• Lead design of complex architectures with modular, flexible solutions.
• Educate teams on best practices and technology standards.
• Support technology stack decisions for storage solutions.
• Perform design and code reviews ensuring non-functional requirements are met.
• Lead enterprise midrange storage services architecture and roadmaps.
• Define future-state architectures and transition plans for storage.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor roadmaps for opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define service capabilities and adoption strategies.
• Engage with vendors to influence product direction and roadmaps.
• Provide architecture governance for strategic projects.
• Support capacity, scalability, performance, and disaster recovery planning.
