Job summary

Bank of America in Jersey City, NJ seeks an experienced Mainframe Storage Architect (Individual Contributor) to define architectural vision and the target operating environment aligned with the business roadmap.

You will lead storage architecture design, manage encryption, SAN replication, and data center moves, collaborating across business, operations and technology while ensuring non-functional requirements such as security and performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading and managing multiple competing and dynamic deliverables with Mainframe Storage.
• 10+ years in storage architecture including encryption, fiber, FICON, I/O performance and SAN replication.
• Ability to lead with minimal supervision and exercise judgment within defined practices.

Responsibilities

• Works across business, operations and technology to define the solution intent and architectural vision and backlog.
• Contributes to the architecture roadmap across domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology).
• Clarifies architecture, designs solutions, and resolves impediments.
• Leads design of complex architectures while ensuring flexibility and modularity.
• Educates team on technology practices and standardization strategies.
• Supports selecting the technology stack and performs non-functional reviews.
• Addresses security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability.
