Qualifications

• 10+ years leading mainframe storage with architecture responsibilities.
• Expertise: encryption, SAN, FICON, HCD/IOCP, DASD, tape virtualization.
• Experience in data center moves, DR exercises, and cost optimization.
• Ability to lead with minimal supervision and influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision for complex solutions and backlog.
• Contribute to architecture roadmap across domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology).
• Clarify architecture and provide design options to resolve impediments.
• Lead design of complex architectures and evangelize best practices.
• Educate team on technology practices and standards.
• Support technology stack decisions and perform non-functional reviews.
• Duties include mainframe storage design across disk, engineering, and virtual tape.
