Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Chief Engineer to lead storage architecture initiatives and data protection programs. You will drive technical direction, establish standards, and mentor a team across enterprise storage platforms.

The role focuses on Dell PowerMax, NetApp environments, and SAN fabric infrastructure, ensuring resiliency, scalability, and high availability in support of critical banking operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Eight+ years delivering software-based solutions or complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership and strategic direction for storage architectures and data protection.
• Define and maintain enterprise standards, roadmaps, and strategies for storage and resiliency.
• Lead design and optimization of large-scale Dell PowerMax and NetApp environments.
• Provide architectural leadership for SAN Fabrics (Brocade, Cisco) ensuring scalability and availability.
• Serve as top escalation point for complex storage, SAN, replication, backup, and recovery issues.
• Drive platform lifecycle management, hardware refresh, and migrations across enterprise environments.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, operations, cloud, and applications teams for recovery readiness and cyber resiliency.
• Establish engineering standards and governance for long-term viability and supportability of platforms.
