Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking a Rating & Underwriting professional to support the Sales team by producing rates for 100+ markets and Stop Loss products. This role focuses on developing proposal and renewal rates and ensuring accurate GEI/BIFs.

You will attend meetings with groups and brokers, update monthly financial reports, and research rate inconsistencies. A bachelor's degree in Math/Statistics/Accounting and 3+ years in health insuranceRating/Underwriting are

Competenze

• Minimum High School diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Math, Statistics, or Accounting.
• Analysis experience preferred.
• Requires minimum three (3) year's experience in health insurance industry with experience in Rating/Underwriting.
• Stop Loss underwriting experience highly preferred.

Mansioni

• Develops and issues proposal rates for group size 100+ and experience rated proposals.
• Develops and issues experience rated renewals for group size 100+.
• Develops and issues renewal and proposal rates for alternately funded groups.
• Approves GEI and BIFs where applicable.
• Researches rate and benefit inconsistencies and issues corrections and/or recommendations.
• Assembles data and produces ERISA 5500 reports and settlements and issues to Sales.
• Makes decisions to offer special financial arrangements to groups and monitors outcomes as required.
• Attends meetings with groups and brokers to discuss renewals and proposals.
• Maintains and updates monthly financial reports necessary for Enterprise Operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
