Job summary

Intermountain Health's Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instrumentation is properly decontaminated, assembled and sterilized for 2–4+ specialties. Training will be provided to cover Level 2-3 competencies with on-call and holiday rotation expectations.

Qualifications

Central Processing Certification from HSPA required.
Preferred: High School Diploma. Experience with Sterile Processing Department software CER or CIS certification through HSPA (Level 3).

Responsibilities

Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, and disinfect surgical instruments.
Identify, assemble, protect, wrap, contain, peel pack, label and sterilize instruments.
Perform, read, validate and record sterilization tests and parameters.
Print needs list and collect items for procedures.
Issue sterile supplies to hospital areas and regional campuses.
Perform inventory duties and locate equipment and consumables.
