Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Sterile Processing Technologist to lead decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of advanced instrumentation for operative cases. This role ensures instrument quality, safety, and readiness in a high‑volume surgical environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hospital-based sterile processing experience and current certification (CRCST/CBSPD/NBSTSA). Excellent attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CRCST, CSPDT, and CST certifications preferred or upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of advanced instrumentation and equipment.
• Identify and inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
• Operate and troubleshoot sterile processing equipment.
• Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and departmental standards.
• Maintain safety compliance across all sterile processing activities.
• Prepare case carts and deliver instrumentation to the operating room.
• Stock and maintain par levels for instrumentation and support emergencies.
