Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure proper maintenance and distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care. The role requires CSPDT or CRCST certification and at least 2 years of acute care hospital experience.

The position includes responsibilities such as reporting malfunctions, maintaining inventory and service-line trays, and providing staff education.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital, sterile processing, or surgery department.
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) is required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and distribute disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Report malfunctions or questionable loads to the Lead Technician or Manager; provide shift reports and logs.
• Maintain par levels, count sheets, and prepare service line instrument trays; ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Provide in-service education to SPD staff and participate in continuing competency.
• Collaborate with Operating Room staff on instrumentation needs and service lines.
