Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an OR/Sterile Processing Technician I to support proper maintenance and distribution of sterile supplies for patient care in a busy hospital environment. You will work under technical supervision to develop competency and ensure safe instrumentation across service lines.

Responsibilities include inventory management, load documentation, and coordination with OR and Nursing teams. CSPDT or CRCST certification and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• 2 Years Experience in an acute care hospital, sterile processing, or surgery department.
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or CRCST certification is required.

Responsibilities

• To ensure proper maintenance and distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care based on sterile processing expertise and through technical training and development of OR/Sterile Processing Tech I's.
• Reports malfunctions or questionable loads to the Lead Technician or Manager.
• Maintains shift reports and communication logs.
• Notifies SPD Lead/Nursing units of positive biologicals/wet loads, equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborates with educators and physicians on service line instrumentation and competency development.
• Maintains count sheets, par levels, and order of service line trays.
• Provides in-service education to staff 4-5 times per year.

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
