Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks an Instrumentation Coordinator to oversee coordination between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing. This role ensures sterilized, properly functioning instruments are available for surgeries and procedures across the enterprise.

You will be involved in ordering, standardizing instrument trays, and supporting process improvements while maintaining high standards of infection prevention and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required within 6 months of hire or upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between Operating Room and Sterile Processing to facilitate case flow.
• Support case cart assembly, decontamination, assembly and sterilization of reprocessed inventory.
• Order, procure, and organize instrument trays across the Enterprise.
• Serve as a clinical liaison between OR and CSS offsite location; ensure 24/7 coverage across multiple sites.
