Job summary

Aequor is seeking a Scientist III to advance stem cell-derived chronic kidney disease models. The role requires independent execution of routine and non-routine in vitro experiments, design of new assays, and interpretation of results with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Master's degree with 3+ years' experience in related scientific discipline or Bachelor's with 7+ years' experience in related field.
Supplemental technical courses in area of expertise.
Ability to operate laboratory equipment with independence.
Ability to draft technical reports.
Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Initiates and completes routine in vitro studies in an independent, efficient, and timely manner.
Designs and executes non-routine cell-based in vitro and biochemical assays based on literature analyses.
Independently applies scientific principles, conducts literature reviews, and attends scientific meetings.
Operates and maintains lab equipment; troubleshoots as needed.
Proposes new experiments/technologies and contributes to training junior staff.
Communicates and defends work; writes protocols and reports, contributing to scientific reports.
Maintains data integrity with electronic lab notebooks and adheres to SOPs and policies.
Complies with regulations and safety requirements; documents work properly.
