Job summary

Aequor is seeking a scientifically seasoned professional to independently perform routine and non-routine in vitro and cell-based assays, analyze results, and contribute to drug discovery efforts. The role emphasizes literature-based experimental design, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic lab environment.

The candidate will manage laboratory operations, draft technical reports, and communicate findings effectively while adhering to regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 3+ years' experience in related scientific discipline or Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years' experience in related scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field; pharma/biotech/CRO experience desirable; non-PhD applicant accepted.
• Supplemental technical courses in area of expertise
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment with independence
• Ability to draft technical reports
• Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
• Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and interpretation thereof
• Proven problem-solving ability
• Able to act for supervisor in absence
• Understanding of applicable regulations

Responsibilities

• Initiates and completes routine in vitro studies independently, interprets outcomes, and proposes follow-up actions.
• Designs and executes non-routine cell-based assays and biochemical assays based on literature analyses.
• Keeps abreast of literature and attends meetings to stay current.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment, with Troubleshooting.
• Proposes new experiments/technologies and trains junior staff.
• Communicates and defends work; writes protocols, procedures, and technical reports.
• Maintains accurate electronic lab notebooks and data integrity.
• Ensures work complies with SOPs, policies and safety regulations.
• Supports weekend business operations with 2–4 hour commitment.
