Loenbro in Gilbert, AZ seeks a Senior Lead Estimator for structural steel and industrial projects. You will oversee the full estimating process, validate takeoffs, and drive risk-based pricing for multi‑million dollar opportunities.

Lead complex bids, mentor newer estimators, and develop design-build or ROM estimates using reliable historical data. Expect hybrid/onsite duties, with travel as needed within the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-12+ years of relevant industrial construction steel estimating or equivalent directly applicable construction experience.
• Tekla Structures or PowerFAB experience 5+ years and/or modeling software.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Extensive estimating experience and recognized technical authority in at least one construction discipline.
• Demonstrate success, leading complex or high-risk pursuits with minimal oversight.
• Advanced capability in estimate strategy, cost development, risk, QA/QC, and cross-functional coordination.
• Advanced proficiency with applicable estimating, takeoff, reporting, and document-management systems.
• Managing pressure (unpredictable repricing schedules, tight bid deadlines). Proven ability to maintain accuracy and leadership composure under tight, fluctuating bid deadlines.
• Ability to mentor others and influence consistent estimating practices.

Responsabilités

• Validate quantity take-offs and input into estimating software.
• Apply advanced cost analysis and contingency planning for risk mitigation.
• Estimate bids for structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and specialized non-ferrous metals.
• Lead estimate turnover and lessons-learned activities for assigned pursuits.
• Lead estimator on a team/group estimate for complex bids.
• Develop conceptual, design-assist, design-build, and ROM estimates using historical/market data.
• Advise Operations and leadership on risk, contingency, procurement strategy, and commercial position.
• Mentor estimators and improve technical consistency without formal management duties.
