Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Steam Turbine Service Engineer III to support the Steam Turbine fleet as a technical expert. You will lead outage coordination, perform engineering analyses, and guide field teams to ensure safe, on-schedule execution and high-quality technical direction.

The role requires mentoring junior engineers, contributing to design reviews, and collaborating with international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering design or service experience in turbomachinery or related fields.
• Knowledge of turbine configuration, design, boundary conditions, temperatures, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret industry reports, technical journals, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, customer correspondence, and presentations for individuals and groups.
• Ability to perform the calculations needed to satisfy technical job requirements.
• Ability to make sound judgment decisions based on specifications and technical requirements.
• Advanced computer skills, including finite element analysis, spreadsheets, SAP, SharePoint, CRM, Windchill, email, word processing, and presentation software.
• Ability to support field outages and collaborate across international teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, ownership.
• Serve as a point of contact for outage support, providing timely engineering solutions that minimize outage risk.
• Perform technical evaluation, component analysis and calculations for turbine components and develop technical recommendations.
• Develop and coordinate unit specific solutions based on fleet repair recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on mechanical design, outage support and project management.
