Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking an Engineer III, Controls Service – Steam Turbine in Wayne, ME to lead the evaluation and enhancement of steam turbine control system operations, covering start-up, loading, trips, and protection logic.

You will provide technical support during outages and commissioning, and mentor junior engineers. The role requires strong experience with control narratives, P&IDs, and various control platforms, with field service and customer-facing responsibilities

Qualifications

• MS or BS degree in Computer Science, Controls, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a minimum of ten (10) years directly related work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Knowledge of steam turbine controls, turbine operating sequences, control logic, turbine protection interfaces, steam admission, valve actuation, auxiliary systems, instrumentation, electrical and control interfaces, alarm and trip response, and plant integration.
• Experience with digital control systems, distributed control systems, turbine control systems, HMIs, CPUs, communication networks, software configuration, logic testing, validation, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evaluation and enhancement of steam turbine control system operations across start-up, loading, shutdown, and protection logic.
• Provide technical support during outages, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and time-critical events.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to implement control logic changes and documentation.
