Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking an Engineer III, Controls Service – Steam Turbine to lead control system support for steam turbines, including logic, instrumentation, alarms, and field implementation.

The role requires deep expertise in turbine controls, experience with outage and commissioning activities, and collaboration across plant systems to ensure operability and safety. Responsibilities include data analysis, design documentation, and providing guidance to field personnel,

Qualifications

• MS or BS degree in Computer Science, Controls, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant industrial or engineering experience including controls engineering, logic programming, hardware configuration, turbine controls, commissioning, field service, or service engineering support.
• A minimum of ten (10) years directly related work experience may substitute for degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and enhancement of steam turbine control system operations including start-up, loading, unloading, shutdown, and trip logic.
• Provide technical support during outages, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting and operating events.
• Develop functional logic descriptions from P&IDs, system descriptions, and operating procedures.
• Prepare and review design documents, control narratives, specifications and test plans.
• Analyze operational data to establish current characteristics and benchmark performance.
