Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on steam power boilers and related equipment across the US and Canada. The role involves extensive travel and may require on-site presence at customer facilities with on-call responsibilities for urgent issues.

You will service fossil-fired steam generators, document findings, and provide guidance for reliability and efficiency while interacting with customers and GE teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Associate’s Degree in Power Plant Technology or related field experience up to 5 years maintaining and servicing steam generating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service on steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Travel 75-80% and work on-call at customer sites.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Prepare detailed reports and ensure safety and quality standards.
