Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. seeks a new model project leader for North American stamping operations. You will manage the new model flow, lead minor model changes with guidance, and drive targets with cross-functional teams.

This on-site role requires collaboration with design, engineering and production, plus SAP planning, budget tracking, and strong project management. Expect 10–20% travel and occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) or equivalent relevant experience (Stamping preferred).
• 2+ Yrs combined experience in new model development or manufacturing (Stamping preferred).
• This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Confirm designs by coordinating with Stamping department members and Production Engineering (PEBU) team per project direction.
• Collaborate with Design/Engineering/Business teams to ensure past model reflections and factory characteristics are reflected to the design and manufacturing process development.
• Understand plant processes, constraints, and capabilities for stamping department and feed into new model development.
• Develop project targets, incorporating factory characteristics and business plan targets to ensure KPI achievement.
• Develop action plan (SAP), ensure completion of project tasks, and adjust as needed for project changes.
• Develop and maintain cross functional relationships across Honda and with outside suppliers.
• Lead daily meetings and coordination with project stakeholders and leadership.
• Establish, track, and report project budget and manpower status and requirements.
