Job summary

The United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is seeking a Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager to lead strategic engagement with patient advocacy groups, industry and scientific associations, and other stakeholders.

This role sits in Global External Affairs and reports to the Convention and Stakeholder Engagement team, splitting time between the Washington, DC office and the Rockville, MD headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in life sciences advocacy or a similar role.
• Established relationships within patient advocacy and/or pharmaceutical trade associations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the pharmaceutical lifecycle and stakeholder sectors.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain relationships with stakeholder organizations, including patient advocacy groups and industry associations.
• Engage USP Convention Members through Sectors, developing programming and content to inform and connect with USP.
• Collaborate with colleagues to incorporate perspectives and expertise into planning and implementation of engagement activities.
• Develop presentations, talking points, and messaging briefs for executives to deliver to stakeholders.
• Lead issue management with adaptable approaches to objectives and risks.
• Own successful programs and initiatives that position USP as a leader and deliver outcomes.
• Serve as a stakeholder engagement expert with executives to tell compelling stories and advance priorities.
