Job summary

USP in Rockville, MD invites a Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager to lead strategic engagements with patient advocacy groups, industry and scientific trade associations, and USP senior leaders to advance public health standards.

As an individual contributor, you will craft briefs, manage initiatives, and present engaging narratives to diverse stakeholders, spending time in our Washington, DC office and Rockville headquarters while upholding USP’s values of quality and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in life sciences advocacy, trade associations, or similar roles.
• Established relationships within patient advocacy or pharmaceutical trade associations.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical lifecycle and stakeholder sectors across it.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with a focus on quality and outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to tailor messages to audiences.
• Collaborative and able to influence in a matrixed organization.
• Agility in fast-moving environments and shifting objectives.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain relationships with stakeholder organizations, including patient advocacy groups and industry associations.
• Engage USP Convention Members through Sectors, delivering programming and content that engages members.
• Develop presentations, talking points, and messaging briefs for executives to share with stakeholders.
• Lead issue management and mitigate risks through adaptable approaches.
• Exhibit ownership for programs positioning USP as a leader and delivering meaningful outcomes.
