Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a senior software architecture leader to define strategic priorities within the Software discipline and to drive cross‑program initiatives. You will coordinate with EI&E discipline leads to identify tool gaps, deploy standard processes, and advance digital solutions and training across programs.

The role requires SME expertise in multiple core tech areas, active U.S. government Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 14+ years of software engineering experience
• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of software engineering experience
• PhD in a STEM discipline with 9 years of software engineering experience
• Subject Matter Expert in front‑end and/or back‑end technologies and APIs
• SMEs in Geospatial Engineering, HFE, Interoperability Standards, CDS, Cybersecurity Governance, and Open Systems Architectures

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and define strategic vision for software priorities within the Software discipline.
• Interface with EI&E discipline leads to identify program needs and close gaps in tools, processes, and training.
• Lead development, deployment, and sustainment of sector‑wide engineering tools and standardized processes.
• Build and sustain a Software Community of Practice across programs and sub‑disciplines.
• Act as trusted advisor to resolve technical performance shortfalls via root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
