Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Architect to lead and maintain the system architecture for major development programs.

The role is on-site, supporting the Distributed Systems Engineering group and aligning architecture with program roadmaps, cost, and risk considerations. The ideal candidate will possess a top-tier technical background in SYSML/MBSE, experience across hardware, software, and firmware, and the ability to present to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in STEM with required years.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active U.S Government Secret Clearance is required.
• Experience creating, evolving and maintaining system architecture.
• Experience delivering technical presentations to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the creation, evolution, and maintenance of the overall system architecture.
• Direct, manage, and oversee the creation, evolution, and maintenance of the overall system architecture to meet operational needs
• Proactively manage architectural decisions to ensure alignment with cost, schedule, and risk constraints
• Lead the tailoring of system requirements margins based on risk assessments and ensure compliance with Key Performance Parameters (KPPs)
• Manage and maintain alignment between the selected solution and internal roadmaps, product lines, and/or common components, as applicable
