Job summary

CVS Health Digital seeks a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead and contribute as both technical lead and individual contributor, building a next-generation platform to deliver use cases into products that help people live healthier lives.

You will design scalable microservices, participate in code reviews, mentor juniors, and collaborate with architects and IT leadership to improve performance, reliability and delivery speed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in large distributed environments.
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud technologies.
• 5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years working in an Agile-based development environment.
• 2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
• Provide input on feasibility, performance, and scalability to meet objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Lead collaboration with team members to align and drive decisions and outcomes.
• Mentor junior developers and help grow technical skills.
• Adopt new technologies and tools to improve productivity and code quality.
