Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Senior Staff Microsoft 365 Engineer with a focus on email specialization. The role emphasizes ownership of Exchange Online strategy, security, and hybrid integrations, with hands-on engineering (~60%) and architecture (~40%).

The ideal candidate will lead messaging governance across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure, and mentor junior engineers within an Agile environment to ensure reliable mail flow and security for enterprise-scale environments.

Qualifications

8 years related experience or equivalent in enterprise messaging environments.
Experience with Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange architectures.
Experience implementing email security platforms and migrations.
Hands-on role split ~60% engineering and ~40% architecture/design.
Mentor engineers and operate in Agile/Scrum with customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

Own strategy, architecture, and lifecycle of Exchange Online and related services.
Drive governance across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure with security and compliance alignment.
Design, implement, and support secure mail flow, domains, connectors, and transport rules.
Lead complex messaging issue resolutions using traces, logs, and telemetry.
Implement email security controls (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS, anti-phishing, encryption).
Lead tenant migrations, domain consolidations, and large-scale platform transformations.
