Job summary

GEICO is hiring a Senior Staff Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional teams delivering secure, scalable platform services including File Exchange and Unified Platform experiences. You will shape roadmaps, drive modernization, and ensure compliance across data centers and cloud environments.

You will mentor teams, manage budgets, partner with senior leadership, and deliver end-to-end platform capabilities with high reliability and auditability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years designing, developing, and operating enterprise file transfer platforms or IaC delivery systems.
• Experience with secure file transfer technologies (SFTP, HTTPS) and NYDFS/PCI compliance.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Hands-on coding in Java, Python, C#, .NET, Go, or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Lead File Exchange Platform team for secure, high-availability transfers.
• Drive modernization to self-service portal and CMDB-driven workflows.
• Define standards for Platform SDKs, UI/UX, and IaC services across clouds.
• Guide UPE and UCP programs for platform onboarding and governance.
• Manage team strategy, budgets, and performance reviews.
