Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join the Core AI/ML team. You will shape the ML strategy and build foundational, scalable ML systems across multiple product domains.

You will own end-to-end ML lifecycles, design scalable feature pipelines, and collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ship reliable, customer-facing ML solutions. Expect mentorship, technical leadership, and strategic influence.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in CS/DS/Math or equivalent
• 10+ years delivering ML systems in production
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Scala, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ML lifecycle from data to deployment.
• Build and scale feature pipelines for batch and real-time ML apps.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product owners, and engineers to deploy reliable ML systems.
• Apply MLOps practices: retraining, drift detection, CI/CD, monitoring.
• Mentor and lead other engineers, promoting code quality and design reviews.
