Job summary

S&B is seeking a Senior Staff Lead Mechanical Engineer to independently perform mechanical design across all phases for medium‑size projects. You will manage scope, estimates, schedules, and staffing while applying independent judgment and design method adaptation.

A PE license and ABET‑accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering are required, with extensive experience in fixed/rotating equipment. Responsibilities include coordinating design activities, guiding engineers, and interfacing with

Qualifications

• Minimum twelve years of mechanical design experience.
• Active PE license with ability to obtain reciprocity in other states.
• Proficient with CAD tools and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with fixed and rotating equipment and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment lists, data sheets, and scope estimates for mechanical scope.
• Develop project schedules and staffing plans for mechanical deliverables.
• Direct engineering staff, monitor progress, and provide performance feedback.
• Interpret codes and standards (ASME BPVC, API) for equipment design.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to present technical data.
