Job summary
Saab AB in the United States is seeking a Senior Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead development, optimization, and deployment of manufacturing processes and systems. Qualifications
- 8+ years of related manufacturing engineering experience with relevant degree.
- Strong experience in manufacturing process development, optimization, and CI.
- Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects from concept to production.
- Proficiency in engineering documentation, data analysis, and standard tools.
- Excellent technical communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to determine appropriate methods and evaluation criteria for complex tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead discussions and align stakeholders with differing priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues.
- Develop and improve manufacturing standards, procedures, and work instructions.
- Develop testing and evaluation methods for new/modified processes.
- Track project performance, identify risks, and drive actions.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and structured problem solving.
- Lead equipment selection, installation, qualification, and validation.
- Improve processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Lead projects from concept through validation and production launch.
- Translate technical issues into clear business impacts and decisions.
